ANNOUNCEMENTS - for all grades - please read DAILY
- GUM - It is not OK to have gum on the Boulder Ridge campus, and it is definitely NOT OK to have in the computer lab. Anyone chewing gum will be assigned 100 lines of “I will not chew gum in the computer lab.”
- CANDY, FOOD & DRINKS - The standard is the same for candy, food, and drinks in the computer lab: None. Lines will be assigned to those who choose to ignore this standard. Water, in a capped bottle, is allowed.
- BLANK CDs for sale - Blank CDs are available for 25 cents each. Optional paper sleeves are an additional 5 cents. You are NOT required to have blank CDs for class. See me at the beginning of the class period to purchase CDs.
8th Grade & 7th Grade (Periods 1, 3, 4, 5 and 7) - NETWORK UNUSABLE from 4th pd on
- Keyboarding warm-up. (10 minutes)
- GENERAL - The trimester ends next Friday. All of your work needs to be in prior to that day. I will not take any work after your class period ends on Friday, November 16th. Plan ahead if you are behind. You should have at least 15 MasterKey drills completed by Fridy the 16th also.
- CURRENT PROJECT - iWeb. You are going to create a Web site based on your topic OR it can be about you. Your choice, but make a choice and stick to it. We don’t have a lot of time to work on this.
- DEMO - Starting and saving a Web site using iWeb.
- LAB - Start your Web site. Do a bit of planning about what the site will contain. Save your site to your desktop.
6th Grade (Period 6) - NETWORK UNUSABLE
KEYBOARDING - technique evaluations continue today. Make sure you are using your best form as you may be assessed at any time.PROJECTS - Next up is learning how to format one-page reports in MLA style. There will be two practice reports to format.DEMO -How to format a one-page report in MLA style.LAB - Report 1 and Report 2.
