ANNOUNCEMENTS - for all grades - please read DAILY
- GUM - It is not OK to have gum on the Boulder Ridge campus, and it is definitely NOT OK to have in the computer lab. Anyone chewing gum will be assigned 100 lines of “I will not chew gum in the computer lab.”
- CANDY, FOOD & DRINKS - The standard is the same for candy, food, and drinks in the computer lab: None. Lines will be assigned to those who choose to ignore this standard. Water, in a capped bottle, is allowed.
- BLANK CDs for sale - Blank CDs are available for 25 cents each. Optional paper sleeves are an additional 5 cents. You are NOT required to have blank CDs for class. See me at the beginning of the class period to purchase CDs.
8th Grade & 7th Grade (Periods 1, 3, 4, 5 and 7)
- Keyboarding warm-up. (10 minutes)
- CURRENT PROJECT - iPhoto slideshow project. Three (3) minutes, no more or less. Photos related to your theme. No pixelated graphics. Photos should be cropped and touched-up as needed. Music related to your theme. You may use a generic demo track from GarageBand. Export the slideshow, save the file with your logon name and file info (e.g. gmoon1234 slideshow), and send it to me.
- DEMO - None today. Finish the slideshow project and get it turned in.
- LAB - Note: Compiling (exporting) your iPhoto project may take 15 minutes or more. Don’t wait until the last minute to export. Ask questions as needed. Due today.
6th Grade (Period 6)
- KEYBOARDING - technique evaluations continue today. Make sure you are using your best form as you may be assessed at any time.
- Mr. Stamper’s letter project. We will review some variations in Block Format Business Letters and what the criteria are for the letter you have to complete for Mr. Stamper’s lesson.
- CURRENT PROJECT - Fundraising letter.
- DEMO - highlighting text. Mr. Stamper has some requirements he would like you to highlight in your document. We will review how to highlight text.
- LAB - Key and format your fundraising letter for Mr. Stamper’s class. Print two copies…one for me, one for Mr. Stamper. Send me your marked-up (highlighted/color-coded) file for Mr. Stamper to grade.
