ANNOUNCEMENTS - for all grades - please read DAILY

  1. MasterKey is not required this week. You may go straight to working on your projects.
  2. Soccer starts soon. Check this flyer for info.
  3. GUM - It is not OK to have gum on the Boulder Ridge campus, and it is definitely NOT OK to have in the computer lab. Anyone chewing gum will be assigned 100 lines of “I will not chew gum in the computer lab.”
  4. BLANK CDs for sale - Blank CDs are available for 25 cents each. Optional paper sleeves are an additional 5 cents. You are NOT required to have blank CDs for class. See me at the beginning of the class period to purchase CDs.
  5. Firefox on iMacs - Firefox has been installed on the iMacs. You may find that you like it better than Safari. Give it a try.

8th Grade (Periods 1, 3, 4, and 5)

  1. Keyboarding warm-up. (10 minutes)
  2. 1st period - you may work on your research project when you have completed the work for this class.
  3. PROJECT - We are going to put the slideshow project on hold for this week so we can complete a quick flyer project for Red Ribbon Week. There are two items to complete by THURSDAY…one is a practice flyer, the other is a flyer that will be mounted on poster board, turned in to the ASB, entered into a contest, and put on display next week for the whole school to see.
  4. DEMO - none
  5. LAB - 1. practice flyer (baseball); 2. Red Ribbon Week flyer/poster. The theme is “Living My Dreams Alcohol, Tobacco, and Drug Free.” This phrase MUST appear on your flyer somewhere. The flyer must be produced using MS Word. You can use the drawing tools in MS Word, clip art, and/or other graphics. NO PIXELATED GRAPHICS! Otherwise, the design is up to you.

7th Grade (Period 7)
