BRMS Computer Elective

ANNOUNCEMENTS - for all grades - please read DAILY

1. GUM - It is not OK to have gum on the Boulder Ridge campus, and it is definitely NOT OK to have in the computer lab. Anyone chewing gum will be assigned 100 lines of “I will not chew gum in the computer lab.”
2. BLANK CDs for sale - Blank CDs are available for 25 cents each. Optional paper sleeves are an additional 5 cents. You are NOT required to have blank CDs for class. See me at the beginning of the class period to purchase CDs.
3. Firefox on iMacs - Firefox has been installed on the iMacs. You may find that you like it better than Safari. Give it a try.

8th Grade (Periods 1, 3, 4, and 5)

1. Keyboarding warm-up. (10 minutes)
2. 1st period - you may work on your research project when you have completed the work for this class.
3. PROJECT - We are going to put the slideshow project on hold for this week so we can complete a quick flyer project for Red Ribbon Week. There are two items to complete by Friday…one is a practice flyer, the other is a flyer that will be mounted on poster board, turned in to the ASB, entered into a contest, and put on display next week for the whole school to see.
4. DEMO - MS Word drawing tools. I will show you the main tools on the drawing toolbar so that you can complete the practice flyer and then the Red Ribbon Week flyer.
5. LAB - practice flyer (baseball).

7th Grade (Period 7)

1. Keyboarding warm-up. (10 minutes)
