ANNOUNCEMENTS - for all grades - please read DAILY

  1. iChat should be closed today.
  2. If you have any logon or MasterKey problems, let me know right away.
  3. GRADES are available on the Grades tab at the top of this page.
  4. CAMERAS - Mrs. Scott has approved the idea of you bringing your digital cameras to class to download pictures for your next project. You may have the camera out in class ONLY to download. No taking pictures or video in class. If you have the camera out any other place on campus, you may have your camera confiscated. Act responsibly and there should be no problems.
  5. BLANK CDs for sale - If you need blank CDs for use in the classroom or at home, I have them available for 25 cents each. Optional paper sleeves are an additional 5 cents. You are NOT required to have blank CDs for class. See me at the beginning of the class period to purchase CDs.

Today’s Agenda

8th Grade (Periods 1, 3, 4, 5)

  1. Keyboarding warm-up. (10 minutes)
  2. 1st period - you may work on your research project when you have completed the work for this class.
  3. DEMO - 1) importing pictures into iPhoto from existing folders on your computer 2) organizing photos into folders
  4. LAB - import your photos into iPhoto, then organize them in folders. Folders can be by topic, event, date, or any other structure you decide on.

7th Grade (Period 7)

  1. Keyboarding warm-up. (10 minutes)
  2. 1st period - you may work on your research project when you have completed the work for this class.

6th Grade (Period 6)

  1. Keyboarding warm-up. (20 minutes)
  2. FINISH - Block format business letter practice - Some of you haven’t finished this yet. It needs to get done today.  Complete the two worksheets and type the practice letter using your name and address instead of Joan Smith’s. When you have finished typing the practice letter, print it, sign it in blue or black ink, staple it to the front of your packet, then turn in the packet to me. This assignment is worth 25 classwork points and is due today.
  3. CONTINUE - Now that you know how a business letter should look, you are going to continue writing one of your own. Ask questions as needed.
