Today’s Agenda

8th Grade (Periods 1, 3, 4, 5)

  1. Keyboarding warm-up. (10 minutes)
  2. There is a fire drill tomorrow. We will review the evacuation procedures for our room.
  3. There is a possibility that all of the student folders will be wiped out next week. If you have anything that you want to keep, you will need to save those files onto your flash drive, iPod, or some other external media. Today we will create a place where you will move things you want to save so we are ready for next week.
  4. iPhoto - depending on the technical status of this lab today, we will start our next project which is creating a photo-only slide show with music. We will use iPhoto to touch-up/prepare your photos, GarageBand to edit your music files, and PowerPoint to put the show together.
  5. PowerPoint Review - If you haven’t turned in your PowerPoint project yet, get it in today. REMINDER - Before submitting your PowerPoint project for grading, make sure you have done the following:
    1. Check your work. Look for errors. Look for ways to fine-tune the appearance of your presentation.
    2. Have your partner check your work, looking for mistakes and ways to improve your presentation. Listen to what they have to say. Work together to improve your final product.
    3. Make the improvements that your partner suggested.
    4. Have your partner check your presentation again, this time grading it.
    5. Reverse the process…you check their work.
    6. When you KNOW you have finished, submit your file to me using iChat.
  6. GRADES - They will be ready this weekend and available on this Website on Monday.
