Today’s Agenda

8th Grade (Periods 1, 3, 4, 5)

1. Keyboarding warm-up. (10 minutes)
2. PowerPoint Review - There are still SOME people that need to turn in their projects, so rather than start something new with nobody focusing on our new task, today will be the last day dedicated to PowerPoint. Grades will be computed on Wednesday, so make sure it is turned in today.
3. REMINDER - Before submitting your project for grading, make sure you have done the following:
   1. Check your work. Look for errors. Look for ways to fine-tune the appearance of your presentation.
   2. Have your partner check your work, looking for mistakes and ways to improve your presentation. Listen to what they have to say. Work together to improve your final product.
   3. Make the improvements that your partner suggested.
   4. Have your partner check your presentation again, this time grading it.
   5. Reverse the process…you check their work.
4. When you KNOW you have finished, submit your file to me using iChat.
5. While you are finishing PowerPoint or working on iPhoto, I will be working on your grades. I may call on you if you are missing any documents so you can turn them in.
6. GRADES - I am putting together your grade files today. WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED WITH POWERPOINT - After turning in your project, start gathering pictures related to your theme. Save the pictures in the Pictures folder of your Finder and/or in iPhoto.

7th Grade (Period 7)

1. Keyboarding warm-up. (10 minutes)
2. Given the fluctuating state of technical issues in this particular class during the last two weeks, as well as the fact that yesterday’s class changes took many people out and likely will add a bunch of new people today, I’m not certain what we will get done during this class period.
3. PowerPoint Review - I’d like to see the presentations of anyone that can get to them and has finished them. We’ll see how many people that actually is before proceeding with this.

6th Grade (Period 6)

1. Keyboarding drill practice. (20 minutes)
2. I will be doing grade checks while you work independently today. If you are missing any assignments, we will talk.
3. Today we continue report writing. We will continue to discuss looking at Websites and how to use MS Word to collect information for your reports, and you will continue practicing that skill. (30)
   1. MS Word settings and toolbars.
   2. Copy and paste from a Website to a Word document.
   3. Continue locating and bookmarking Websites, then gathering information from those websites.
